Pivotal Attends Brew Digital’s AI in Business Event

Jack recently attended Brew Digital’s Norwich event, AI in Business: Strategy, Transformation and the Human Factor.

Held at Brew Digital’s Norwich office, the evening looked at how AI is starting to change everyday work for businesses and the people using these tools.

With talks from Gareth Llewellyn, Neal Riley, Rich Harper and James Wigger, each speaker brought a different view on what AI adoption looks like in practice. Giving the evening a more open feel, with plenty of discussion happening around the talks themselves.

A Practical Conversation About AI

AI is already part of the conversation for most businesses. The challenge is working out where it genuinely adds value, and where it still needs careful handling.

One thing that stood out to Jack was the room itself. Beyond the technology, the event brought together people with different perspectives on how AI is shaping their day-to-day work, which made the discussion feel more grounded and relevant.

That kind of conversation feels useful, especially when there is so much noise around AI. It brings the focus back to how people are actually using these tools, rather than talking about them in theory.

Keeping the Human Element

A key theme from the event was the human side of AI adoption.
AI can make some tasks quicker, but the tools still rely on people to decide what matters. Good judgement makes the difference between output that is simply fast and work that is worth using.

That feels especially relevant in marketing, where the thinking behind the work still carries so much of the value.

What It Means for Marketing

From a marketing perspective, the conversation around AI felt particularly relevant.
As the way people search, read and make decisions continues to change, brands will need to think carefully about how they show up and what their content is built to do.

The event was also a reminder that speed on its own only gets you so far. Moving faster is helpful when there is clear thinking behind the work.

A Useful Evening at Brew Digital

What stood out most was how much conversation happened in the room.
People were asking questions, sharing experiences and continuing the discussion after the talks had wrapped. That is often where the most useful takeaways happen.

As a Norwich-based agency, we want to keep showing up to more events like this. Being part of the local business community means staying close to the conversations happening around us, especially when they are shaping how businesses think, work and grow.

The best ideas rarely happen in isolation, so evenings like this are a useful reminder of why getting out of the office matters.

A big thank you to Brew Digital for hosting the event and bringing people together for an honest discussion about where AI fits in day-to-day work.
