Don’t get too comfortable.
The Aquinos Group is one of Europe's largest mattress and upholstery manufacturers: a family business founded in Portugal in 1985, with factories across Europe and sleep brands including Beka, Schlaraffia and Bultex. Its homeware retailer Gato Preto joined the group in 2020. Pivotal connected the group's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to its sales channels, from Shopify to Amazon, through Linnworks, working on site with the team in Portugal, and opened new channels on Amazon.

“Leading the Aquinos Group and Gato Preto from Lisbon, I've worked with many teams, but Pivotal was different. They brought hard skills and amazing work to the table. The Linnworks onboarding they provided was more than just technical help; it was delivered with warmth, making the whole process enjoyable. They significantly improved our online sales process and made the system easy for us to use and understand. I'm truly grateful for their impactful contribution to our business.”

The Opportunity
The group runs on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central: products, stock and orders all live there. But every sales channel needed its own listings, prices and stock, and none of them talked to Business Central. Opening a new marketplace meant more manual work, not more sales. The challenge was twofold: connect Business Central to every channel, and find an efficient way to manage and push listings across all of them.

The Solution
Business Central at the centre, Linnworks in the middle. We set Linnworks up as the bridge between Business Central and the sales channels: products and stock flow out from Business Central, and orders from every channel, Shopify and Amazon alike, flow back into one place. As a Linnworks partner, our consultants ran the onboarding in weekly working sessions and on site with the team in Portugal, covering inventory and product variations, shipping integrations and order workflows.
New marketplaces, opened properly. We built a master listing template with the group's e-commerce team and launched the range on Amazon Spain and Amazon France, then set up Amazon Vendor Central through Linnworks so the group's sofas could be supplied to Amazon directly. In-depth training and consultancy ran alongside every step.

The Results
Business Central stays the group's single source of truth, now connected to Shopify and Amazon through Linnworks: orders, stock and listings managed in one place, two new Amazon marketplaces live, and a route to selling to Amazon as a supplier. Ongoing support and consultancy after launch kept the transition smooth, and the team owns the system day to day.
