Pivotal Continues Sponsorship of Basketball in the Community

We’re excited to be continuing our sponsorship of Basketball in the Community, supporting an organisation that has become an important part of youth sport in Norwich. 

Basketball in the Community (BBITC) gives young people the chance to get involved in basketball in a positive and welcoming environment. For some, it is their first experience of the sport, for others, it's a place to keep developing their skills, build confidence and feel part of a team. 

For us, continuing this sponsorship is about backing something that has a real impact close to home. 

Supporting Opportunity Through Sport 

BBITC has grown from a small weekly session into a thriving community organisation, with hundreds of players now taking part every week. 

That growth says a lot about the work being done behind the scenes. 

Basketball can give young people much more than time on the court. It offers structure, encouragement, and a place where they feel supported, helping players build confidence, learn from the people around them, and be part of something consistent. 

That is what makes community sports so valuable. It creates opportunities that can stay with young people long after the session ends. 

Why We’re Proud to Be Involved 

At Pivotal, supporting local organisations has always mattered to us. 

One of the things we love about being based in Norwich is how community-minded the city feels. There’s a real willingness here to get behind local projects and support the people doing meaningful work. 

BBITC is a brilliant example of that, giving young people the chance to get involved in basketball, build confidence and feel part of something positive. 

We have seen the energy and care that goes into the programme, from the people running it to the players and families who turn up week after week. Continuing our sponsorship feels like a small way to support that work and help it keep moving forward.

We’re excited to continue supporting BBITC this year and to see the impact the programme continues to have across Norwich.
