Getting on to the Google News feed

Getting your site into the Google News feed can help to boost your traffic immensely and ultimately help your site to have even more success. There are a few things that Google specifically looks for when they are adding sites to their news feed.

1. You need to have content that is original on your site. If your site is littered with plagiarized or slightly spun content, the Google bots will be able to tell and will not add your site to their feed.

2. The content that you have on your site needs to be written by multiple authors. Many bloggers want their site to be comprised of only content that they have developed and written. While this is a great way to be sure you are getting the content you want, having a guest blogger every now and then can really help you to get noticed by the Google bots and get onto the news feed.

3. You must attribute the content to the proper person. Google wants to see that you have great content but that you do not take credit for work that is not your own or that you reference the right sources.

4. Your site needs to be able to load quickly and index things within a very short period of time. The average site visitor is not going to want to wait an extended period of time for your site to load. Google knows that the sites with the fastest response times are going to be more appealing to visitors.

Having awesome content and a great site can be a phenomenal way to get visitors to return to your site repeatedly. You need to be able to get them to your site first though and getting onto the Google news feed is a great way to be able to do that.
