About the role

Pivotal is hiring! We’re looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Executive with experience in Email Marketing and a keen interest in other areas of Retention Marketing.

Your primary role will focus on growing all areas of the Email Marketing department. This includes account strategy, designing and building emails, completing account setups, copywriting and reporting, building client relationships, and delivering results. This role will also work within the retention marketing team, with the opportunity to collaborate with our additional marketing disciplines.

It is vital to have a client-first, results-driven mindset. You will be expected to deliver results for clients in a fast-paced, demanding environment, with an easy-going and knowledgeable team around you to support you. You’ll need to be confident in “hitting the ground running", but we’ll have your back.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Three-year experience with creating and sending emails using platforms such as Klaviyo, MailChimp, DotDigital

  • Excellent communication skills are required to build client relationships, so previous experience working with clients or customers is essential.

  • Excellent organisational skills: you can handle multiple projects across clients simultaneously, meeting various deadlines

  • A willingness to learn and take ownership of your work, demonstrating a solid initiative

  • With a keen eye for design, you will have previous experience using software such as Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator or Figma.

  • You will have a creative mindset with a high level of attention to detail

  • Excellent written English skills to produce engaging copy where required

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to devise and deliver A/B testing across all areas of Email Marketing

 Desirable

  • Five years experience with creating and sending emails using platforms such as Klaviyo, MailChimp, DotDigital

  • Experience in a previous E-Commerce or marketing role (in-house or agency)

  • Experience with other E-Commerce software/platforms such as Google Analytics, Shopify, Magento 2, Amazon, etc.

  • A degree (or other relevant qualifications) in relevant fields such as Marketing, Creative Writing or Graphic Design

  • Experience in other Marketing departments, e.g. Conversion Rate Optimisation, PPC, SEO, Affiliate marketing

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and build dynamic emails and flows optimised for different inboxes and devices. This includes strategy, research, and design, all through building and scheduling using our email software.

  • Accurately monitoring email quality and deliverability, general account maintenance

  • Optimise the overall Email Marketing strategy for our clients & departmental process.

  • Writing concise and engaging copy, including subject lines & preview text

  • Compiling visual, comprehensive reports and audits for clients to report on performance

  • Regular meetings with clients and Account Strategists to discuss strategy

  • Assisting across multiple marketing disciplines to grow and consistently add value to the Pivotal retention marketing offering
