Role Overview

We seek an experienced Business Development Manager to serve as our client's first point of contact, initiating and cultivating relationships to drive growth and opportunities within our organisation. As a Business Development Manager, you will be crucial in identifying and pursuing new business prospects while nurturing initial client connections. 

To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record in business development, particularly within the Digital or Ecommerce sphere. Your ability to prospect and engage with potential clients effectively and your strategic thinking and communication skills will be essential in driving our company's growth and success. Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, actively prospecting for potential clients.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored strategies and proposals for clients.

  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, achieving or exceeding sales targets.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitors to inform business development strategies.

  • Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and client meetings.

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.

  • Regularly report on business development progress and pipeline to management.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven sales experience (at least two years) and a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets are required.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a digital marketing or ecommerce agency.

  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools.

  • Established a network of contacts within the digital marketing industry.

  • Familiarity with SEO, PPC, social media marketing, and content marketing.

  • Experience with project management tools like Asana or Trello.

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Google Ads, HubSpot, Salesforce).

  • Additional languages reflecting our global client base.

  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
